No, you can wrap them in a separate div first (e.g:
andreasson.org/indymedia/active2/myfocus.html) or use some
other 3-column method of choice

IMO, it's more important to start using <h*>'s for headers and <li>'s
for lists than to lay out the pages in CSS, as semantics is
important. Don't forget that position:absolute causes the browser to
"think" and not display anything until all its content is downloaded
(which is one reason you want to get rid of tables in the first
place) so a "flexible" layout is desirable. Also remember that
CSS-intensive pages can be slow to scroll (even though they download
fast) due to a slow video card.
