we're setting up the site for g8, ru.indymedia.org/int at #g8
channel in irc.indymedia.org if you want to help (translating,
tech, ...)


Some time ago I realized the "restricted url" option was no more in the
Site Prefs web interface.. but still present in the database.

Today, setting it up for this site, I've been looking into the code and
it seems to me that restricted_url has been recicled for another
thing... in dt_FunctionLibrary.inc over line 342, starts a piece of code
that assigns dist_slave_url to restricted_url under some
circumstances... but .... dist_slave_url, although present in the
database, is not used in the code, but in a commented out fragment in
object_functions/prefs_edit.inc

Is this a work in progress?

Probably tomorrow we will touch the code to get the functionality we
need, but feedback will be much apreciated.

* We want to use the restricted_url feature as we knew it: a special url
for the admin area. This url is pointing always to the main server
(other url's will have several ip's for a squid setup). Also it's under
ssl.

* Also we want to use restricted_url for the site publishing (to avoid
also the multi-ip domains problem).
