Getting Started with Content

This section provides an overview of how to begin adding and managing content on your site. Additional information may be found in the next chapter, dealing with individual modules.

Adding content to your site is easy, and there are a few ways to do it. Some content modules allow input from anyone who visits your site, creating a public forum that grows naturally as your site becomes more popular. This is the method of the Newswire module, which is based on an Open Publishing philosophy that encourages active public documentation and discussion of current events. Users simply click on the "Post an article" link at the top of your page, fill out a form, and submit it. The content is instantly published to the web site.

Content not provided by the public is created in the Editorial Interface, available at /admin/index.php on your site. Each module provides its own interface for listing existing entries as well as adding, editing, or deleting content.

These methods are detailed in the pages that follow.

CVS

The current CVS version of dadaIMC is now browseable online. Be forewarned, though, that it is not always in a useable state as-is!
